Donations + Gift-Bake Sale = $4,800 raised at the meeting!
Over 90 community members, residents, staff, and volunteers joined us on October 22, 2023 for our Annual Meeting. Guests enjoyed music played on our grand piano by Jessie Barth while shopping our annual Gift-Bake Sale. Children enjoyed a fall party which included a candy hunt, movie, and pizza.
The meeting opened with everyone singing Hymn 423 from the Christian Science Hymnal. Our Administrator, Director of Development, and Christian Science nursing staff then shared updates from their various departments.
A quick standing break prepared the way for our main speaker, Christian Science lecturer Nicole Virgil, C.S. who impelled us to let “the Spirit of the Lord” (II Corinthians 3:17) move our thought into the understanding and demonstration of true freedom—for ourselves and the entire world! As you can see from the comments below, the sense of unity, love, and inspiration was palpable.
