If you or a loved one needs Christian Science nursing care and would like to come to Glenmont, here are the steps you can take:
1. Call us at 614-876-0084. Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m.
During normal business hours, the Front Office will take your information and put you in touch with the Director of Christian Science Nursing or a member of our senior Christian Science nursing management team as soon as someone is available.
Outside of normal business hours, leave us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible within normal business hours.
If you feel the situation is urgent outside of normal business hours, please call 614-876-0084, ext 114 or 614-315-9908. If no one answers, leave a message. A Christian Science nurse will get back to you as soon as possible.
2. Our Director of Christian Science Nursing or designee will ask about the care needs and provide guidance on next steps.
The next step may include Glenmont sending you an admissions application. If possible, fill this out in advance of arrival. Having an application on file serves as an indication of the desire to be admitted when space is available and/or when the individual is ready to come. You will be directed as to how to submit the application, either by email or by snail mail at Glenmont, 4599 Avery Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026.
3. Our Director of Christian Science Nursing or designee will reconnect with you to coordinate the admission.
4. All patients are admitted for an initial stay of up to three weeks. Applications for extensions of stay are reviewed every 90 days.
In addition to Christian Science nursing care, individuals staying at Glenmont receive three meals daily, housekeeping and laundry, participation in our activities program, on-site church services, and telephone service (including long distance calls within the 48 continental states).
Family members are welcome to support their loved ones and can stay overnight at Glenmont if space is available. Other visitors are welcome during the day. Please arrange this in advance during normal business hours by contacting our Office Manager at (614) 876-0084 ext 105.
Documents to bring for Admission:
Valid Photo ID such as a Driver's License or passport
Social Security card
Durable Power of Attorney documents for Health Care and Finances
Medicare card (we are not a Medicare provider, but this card is useful to have with you)
Optional – Living Will
What to bring for your stay:
Personal care items such as a brush, comb, razor (also available at Glenmont)
A few changes of clothes (please be aware that there is limited storage space, laundry is part of the service we provide)
Laptop, cell phone, IPad with chargers
CD player, a television (discretionary viewing), small fridge
Christian Science Nursing Care
Glenmont is a Christian Science nursing facility dedicated to helping those who are seeking healing and relying exclusively on Christian Science treatment for this healing.
Christian Science nursing provides proper practical care given by thoroughly trained Christian Science nurses in accord with Christ Jesus’ teachings and following his words, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).
