Christian Science Nursing - Care & Rates

Glenmont is a Christian Science nursing facility dedicated to helping those who are seeking healing and relying exclusively on Christian Science treatment for this healing.

Christian Science nursing provides proper practical care given by thoroughly trained Christian Science nurses in accord with Christ Jesus’ teachings and following his words, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).

Progressive Living

Individuals who are mostly independent but may need a nurturing, sheltered environment, free from household tasks. Progressive Living is not considered "retirement living" — it is a light form of Christian Science nursing that supports continuing spiritual regeneration of thought.  Such individuals may be working to overcome physical claims, including those associated with aging and may be working to transition back to living on their own or more independently. Christian Science nursing services up to one hour per day included. 

  • $170-$185 per day

Sheltered Care

Individuals needing regular assistance with personal care and the activities of daily living and who would benefit from a sheltered, nurturing, healing environment. Christian Science nursing services up to two hours per day and personal care supplies included. 

  • $310-$320 per day

Levels One, Two, and Three

For individuals who require more spiritual nurturing and substantial assistance such as feeding/nourishment, full care in bed, bathing, toileting, cleansing and bandaging, and skilled oversight/observation. Christian Science nursing services up to 3.5 hours (Level Three) or 4.5 hours (Levels One & Two) per day and personal care supplies included.

  • $420-$520 per day

Good Samaritan Care

Respite Care

Short-term arrangements may be made for individuals whose care needs are normally met at home and whose caregiver(s) are away or temporarily unable to care for them.  

Rest and Study

If you need a quiet place to pray and study or are visiting a family member overnight, contact our Front Office at 614-876-0084 about available rooms (single rooms with shared bathrooms only).

Care & Rates FAQs

  • We offer care to individuals seeking healing, and who are relying exclusively on Christian Science treatment for this healing. We can not provide and do not engage in any medically-oriented practices.

  • We cannot provide Christian Science nursing care to anyone relying on medicine or medical devices (not including walkers or wheelchairs). 

  • All Christian Science nursing patients are required to engage the services of a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner.

  • The rate includes Christian Science nursing care as outlined under each level as well as three meals daily, housekeeping and laundry, participation in our activities program, on-site church services, and telephone service (including long distance calls within the 48 continental states).

  • Assistance beyond the care outlined for each level will be charged at a prorated hourly rate, depending on the care level. Other charges may include beautician or barber services, ancillary services, or special purchases.

  • Each guest’s level of care is determined by the Christian Science Nursing Department based on the guest’s current needs for assistance, observation, and daily support. Care levels reflect how much hands-on Christian Science nursing help is needed and the individual’s level of independence. All guests are admitted for an initial three-week stay, with care levels reviewed regularly and adjusted as needs change.
